Everything parents, schools, and youth workers need to know about ARK โ how it works, how we keep young people safe, and how to get involved.
ARK is a safe, non-commercial learning community. Every child's participation requires active parent or guardian consent โ verified personally by Darren Wallace before any Hub is approved.
๐ Every Hub registration is personally reviewed and verified by Darren Wallace. He will call the parent or guardian phone number provided before approving any child's participation. No Hub goes live without that call.
All registrations are personally reviewed. No automated approvals. Darren calls every parent before a Hub is approved.
ARK is not-for-profit at the kids level. There are no products to buy, no subscriptions, no advertising targeted at children.
We collect only what's needed to run the program. No passwords, no photos, no social media. Read our Privacy Policy.
The Hub registration form asks for the child's details, their Hub idea, and the parent or guardian's name, phone, and email.
The parent or guardian must tick three consent checkboxes โ including agreement to be contacted by phone โ before the form can be submitted.
Darren Wallace personally calls the parent or guardian phone number to discuss the registration and confirm approval. No Hub is approved without this call.
Once verified, the Hub is officially part of ARK. The parent and child are informed directly by Darren.
ARK works with schools who want to bring the Hub model into the classroom or as an extra-curricular program. School notices and permission slips are available on request.
If you're introducing ARK to students through your school, we can provide a school notice for parents that explains the program, what participation involves, and how to give consent.
Contact Darren to request a school notice document tailored to your school.
๐ง Request a school notice โFor schools running ARK as part of a structured program or excursion context, we provide a permission slip template that satisfies standard school requirements.
Contact Darren to receive the current permission slip template for your school's use.
๐ง Request a permission slip โIf you're an educator interested in running ARK Learning Hubs as part of your school program โ whether in class time, during lunch, or as an after-school activity โ get in touch with Darren to start the conversation.
ARK is designed to work with schools, not alongside them. We can provide supporting documentation, parent communication templates, and guidance on how to structure the Hub model for your school's context.
Youth workers and community organisations can partner with ARK to bring Learning Hubs to the young people they work with.
If you're a youth worker, community organisation, or youth-services provider and you want to bring ARK to the young people in your program โ ARK welcomes that partnership.
Partnerships are available for youth services, community groups, after-school programs, and organisations working with young people aged 9โ18 across Australia.
Contact Darren to discuss how ARK can work within your program structure, what documentation you'll need, and how we handle consent and verification for your young people.
