Supporting young
builders safely

Everything parents, schools, and youth workers need to know about ARK โ€” how it works, how we keep young people safe, and how to get involved.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง For Parents

ARK is a safe, non-commercial learning community. Every child's participation requires active parent or guardian consent โ€” verified personally by Darren Wallace before any Hub is approved.

๐Ÿ“ž Every Hub registration is personally reviewed and verified by Darren Wallace. He will call the parent or guardian phone number provided before approving any child's participation. No Hub goes live without that call.

๐Ÿ”’

Safe & Verified

All registrations are personally reviewed. No automated approvals. Darren calls every parent before a Hub is approved.

๐Ÿšซ

Non-Commercial

ARK is not-for-profit at the kids level. There are no products to buy, no subscriptions, no advertising targeted at children.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Minimal Data

We collect only what's needed to run the program. No passwords, no photos, no social media. Read our Privacy Policy.

๐Ÿ“‹

How the registration process works

1

Child submits a Hub registration

The Hub registration form asks for the child's details, their Hub idea, and the parent or guardian's name, phone, and email.

2

Parent gives consent on the form

The parent or guardian must tick three consent checkboxes โ€” including agreement to be contacted by phone โ€” before the form can be submitted.

3

Darren calls the parent to verify

Darren Wallace personally calls the parent or guardian phone number to discuss the registration and confirm approval. No Hub is approved without this call.

4

Hub is approved and the child is notified

Once verified, the Hub is officially part of ARK. The parent and child are informed directly by Darren.

๐Ÿซ For Schools

ARK works with schools who want to bring the Hub model into the classroom or as an extra-curricular program. School notices and permission slips are available on request.

๐Ÿ“„

School Notices

If you're introducing ARK to students through your school, we can provide a school notice for parents that explains the program, what participation involves, and how to give consent.

Contact Darren to request a school notice document tailored to your school.

Permission Slips

For schools running ARK as part of a structured program or excursion context, we provide a permission slip template that satisfies standard school requirements.

Contact Darren to receive the current permission slip template for your school's use.

๐ŸŽ“ Bringing ARK into your school

If you're an educator interested in running ARK Learning Hubs as part of your school program โ€” whether in class time, during lunch, or as an after-school activity โ€” get in touch with Darren to start the conversation.

ARK is designed to work with schools, not alongside them. We can provide supporting documentation, parent communication templates, and guidance on how to structure the Hub model for your school's context.

๐Ÿค For Youth Workers

Youth workers and community organisations can partner with ARK to bring Learning Hubs to the young people they work with.

๐ŸŒฑ

Youth partnership program

If you're a youth worker, community organisation, or youth-services provider and you want to bring ARK to the young people in your program โ€” ARK welcomes that partnership.

Partnerships are available for youth services, community groups, after-school programs, and organisations working with young people aged 9โ€“18 across Australia.

Contact Darren to discuss how ARK can work within your program structure, what documentation you'll need, and how we handle consent and verification for your young people.

โ“ Frequently asked

Quick answers to what parents most want to know.

Is ARK safe for my child?

Yes. Every registration is personally verified by Darren Wallace via phone. No child participates without direct parent consent and phone verification. ARK is non-commercial โ€” there are no products, ads, or subscription fees targeting children.

What does my child actually do in a Hub?

A Hub Leader (your child) decides on a topic they want to explore, invites up to 4 co-Hub members, and together they build a Learning Hub around that topic. What they make is up to them โ€” projects, challenges, discoveries, creative work. ARK gives them the structure; the kids bring the ideas.

Is there a cost?

No. ARK is non-commercial at the kids level. There is no cost to register a Hub, no subscription, and no in-app purchases. It is a free community program.

What information do you collect about my child?

Only what's needed to run the program โ€” their first name, age, city, and Hub idea. We never collect passwords, photos, social media profiles, or sensitive information. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Can I withdraw my child at any time?

Yes, at any time, for any reason. Contact Darren at darrenw@arc-hub.online or call 0481 822 918 and your child's Hub will be removed and their information deleted.
